We stayed in Lorne last night and had dinner in the only place that was open for business. If you're not sorted before 8.00 you'll probably go hungry.
We went out to Erskine Falls this morning but it was raining hard so we have to just imagine how spectacular the falls are.
Stopped for coffee and spotted our first koala
And rain forest
Petrified version - no one knows why this has happened
We finish up at this cove
More of those pesky fellas!
We get to the hotel at 6.00 and go straight out for dinner - good job because they only serve until 8.00 - then the town closes down - we're are at Port Campbell tonight.
Tomorrow we finish the GOR and head back towards Melbourne.
Hi All - I've finally managed to wrest the IPAD from Dave's hands so I can add a note to the Blog. He has played a blinder with the hotel accommodation the last few days. We've stayed in some lovely places at reasonable rates and as the weather on this leg of the journey has been much cooler and windier than expected they have been a nice sanctuary at the end of a long day. My highlight today was climbing to the top of the Ottway Lighthouse. It was hard work but the knee held up ok. We continue to meet friendly people wherever we go and are enjoying our 'gap-month' in oz.
